We released OpenProject 14.4 with new features, improvements, and bug fixes=
.

Dear OpenProject Community,
I am delighted to announce the release of OpenProject 14.4, which comes wit=
h several new features and improvements that will significantly enhance you=
r project management experience.

One of the standout updates in this release is the introduction of a=C2=A0 =
dark mode [1] for OpenProject. This long-awaited feature helps reduce eye s=
train, especially in the evening hours. You can easily enable it in your ac=
count settings.=C2=A0Just like with the high contrast mode, this setting on=
ly changes the interface for you personally, without affecting the entire i=
nstance. So feel free to test it and see which mode you prefer! Please note=
 that dark mode=C2=A0is currently still a 'Beta' version=C2=A0and you may s=
till encounter unforeseen design glitches.

For those managing project attributes [2] , we have added separate permissi=
ons for viewing and editing these attributes. This new level of control hel=
ps prevent errors by ensuring that only authorized users can make changes, =
while others can still view the information as needed.
Also, we have improved status-based progress reporting [3] by allowing user=
s to enter more precise percentage values for project statuses. Previously,=
 % Complete in status-based progress reporting could only be entered in inc=
rements of 10, now every integer value between 1 and 100 is possible. This =
provides greater accuracy in tracking project progress, allowing for better=
 management and forecasting.
Then we have introduced a=C2=A0 connection validation [4] =C2=A0for Nextclo=
ud storages. This feature ensures that your Nextcloud storage is properly c=
onfigured and operational, providing useful feedback if any issues arise.
These are just some of the new features and improvements =E2=80=93 you will=
 find information on all changes in our Release Notes [5] for 14.4. If you =
are using our on-premises editions, please make sure to upgrade promptly.
