One-Time Annual License Purchase: With this option, the price is determined upfront based on the current exchange rate, VAT, and other applicable charges. Monthly Billing with Annual Commitment: This option allows for monthly payments, but the final conversion rate and taxes will be based on the prevailing rates at the time of each invoice. Your Company's Request: Since your company prefers a 6-month payment term, we explored the possibility of a monthly billing option (subject to no change in exchange rates, tax rates, and online processing fees). Due to this, the initial amount provided is considered an advance payment. The final bill will be determined and issued upon completion of the 6-month period and the subscription would be cancelled. For reference, the first month's cost was Rs. 3117 (excluding taxes). Loss of Access to Power BI Pro Admin Following the purchase of the Power BI Pro license, we provided your company access to admin account for creating internal users and assigning license. Additionally, we recommended setting up multiple login recovery methods and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) within the admin and user settings. Unfortunately, these steps were not followed. One of your staff members enabled MFA with Microsoft Authenticator on the main admin account without creating internal users, setting up alternative recovery methods, or saving recovery codes. This resulted in our team being unable to access the admin account for critical tasks such as billing, renewal, support, and planned cancellation as previously discussed. We contacted your company and requested that MFA be disabled from the Power BI Pro admin panel. However, instead of following these instructions, the staff member uninstalled the Microsoft Authenticator app from their mobile device. This action completely locked us out of the Power BI account, and unfortunately, Microsoft confirmed this lockout is unrecoverable. This incident represents a loss of Rs. 3117 (excluding taxes) for the one-month license. Furthermore, as this was a direct commercial purchase made with a business card, the account lockout situation necessitated blocking the card and requesting a new one. This additional step resulted in a further loss of Rs. 1900. Request for Resolution We kindly request your company's guidance on how to proceed with resolving these losses of Rs. 3117 and Rs. 1900. Issuance of New License. It is proposed to buy license for whole one year and we request you to please adjust the loss. If you still insist on monthly purchase then the final bill be made after completion of 06 months and adjustment of loss as this was purely on part of the company operative.
